When we set out to create this purple-themed witchy boudoir session, I knew it was going to be a mix of fun, sensuality, and a whole lot of magic. And let me tell you, it was exactly that—plus a little bit of spooky, of course.
A few weeks before Halloween, my gorgeous client and I teamed up to make this session come to life, surrounded by the beauty of the pine trees at sunset. With all the witchy props and purple accents, we created an atmosphere that was equal parts sexy, magical, and totally enchanting.

The setting was everything we imagined—dense pine trees that created a dark, moody backdrop, and the golden sunset cast an ethereal light over the scene. It felt as if we had entered a magical realm.
With Halloween just around the corner, we set the stage with a witchy vibe that incorporated everything from mystical tarot cards to spooky tombstones. The pine trees framed us perfectly as the soft sunset light filtered through the branches, creating that perfect eerie, enchanting atmosphere.
The Purple Witchy Theme: Lingerie, Props, and Custom Creations
Purple is such a powerful color—it’s rich, mysterious, and undeniably witchy. We incorporated various shades of purple throughout the shoot to create a cohesive and vibrant aesthetic. From the purple hair and purple teddy lingerie outfit to the witchy props, every detail came together to create a bewitching vibe.
- Outfit and Accessories: My client wore a gorgeous purple teddy lingerie set, paired with a witchy hat, which immediately set the tone for the session. The deep purple tones complemented the setting perfectly, giving her an air of sensuality and power. She also rocked a masquerade mask later in the shoot, adding an element of mystery and intrigue.
- Witchy Props: As a lover of all things spooky, I made sure to bring in the perfect props to complete the witchy vibe. The props included:

- Tombstones that added a bit of fun (with the words “Redemption in the End” written on them).

One of my favorite moments of the shoot was when she threw tarot cards into the air, capturing that sense of magic and unpredictability. The cards flying through the air felt like a literal manifestation of witchcraft! Oh ANNNDD when my kitty Little Bear jumped in to join the witchy magic as her little familiar for a few photos!
- Pumpkin Head and Playful Poses: As a Halloween enthusiast, we couldn’t resist having some fun with the pumpkin head shots. My client posed with a pumpkin on her head, which was the perfect touch of whimsy. She also played around with the tombstones and had a blast posing with the Scream mask, which added a fun, spooky element to the shoot.
DIY Magic: A Custom Purple Guitar
One of the standout elements of this shoot was the stunning purple guitar that my sister lovingly created. She took an old guitar and turned it into a work of art with paint, fairy lights, and broken mosaic glass. The guitar’s shimmering lights added a magical glow to the session, and it became the perfect prop to bring out my client’s rockstar energy.

At the beginning of the shoot, my client was a bit nervous about being in front of the camera. It’s completely natural, especially when you’re doing something as intimate and personal as boudoir photography. But as the session went on, I could see her confidence growing with each click of the shutter.
By the end of the shoot, she was in full witchy goddess mode—striking sultry poses with her Scream mask on, throwing tarot cards with abandon, and embracing her inner magic. It was incredible to witness how she went from shy to completely owning her look and feeling like the true witchy queen she is. This transformation is one of my favorite aspects of boudoir photography—watching someone step into their power and see themselves in a whole new light.

By the time the shoot wrapped up, we had a collection of over 600 breathtaking images. The mixture of light, dark, and magical vibes made this session truly unforgettable.
And let’s not forget the DIY purple guitar, which brought an extra layer of creativity and personality to the shoot. It was a joy to see how the final photos came together, blending all the elements of witchcraft, magic, and sensuality into one cohesive story. I borrowed it from my sister who made the guitar, and I just felt I might need it for this session, and Lone behold my client wore her hair purple, and purple was her favourite colour!

One of my favorite moments was when my client wore my leather fur long trench coat jacket over her scantily clad teddy, paired with garters and fishnets—a look that was both edgy and sexy. The contrast of the rich fall colors against the bold, black outfit was perfection. I absolutely loved this outfit choice, and I truly believe the fall backdrop enhanced the edgy, empowering vibe of her look. It was the perfect combination of sensuality and seasonal beauty!
